What is MICTSETA

The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) is a skills development organization established under the Skills Development Act of 1998. Its mission is to promote, facilitate, and accelerate quality skills development across all levels within the MICT sector in South Africa. The MICT sector comprises five interconnected yet distinct subsectors: advertising, film and electronic media, electronics, information technology, and telecommunications.

MICT SETA focuses on implementing learning programs and ensuring the quality of education and training, aiming to enhance employment opportunities and foster new business ventures. Additionally, the organization is committed to initiatives that help bridge the digital divide, particularly in rural areas.
